Hi everyone,

Here's some news about a special auction for 2 concert tickets. As you might know, Madina Lake and us are label mates at Roadrunner Records. On July 6th, Madina Lake bassist Matthew Leone came to the rescue of a woman being beaten by her husband on the streets of Chicago. He didn’t know them; he just encountered them as he walked down the street and couldn’t ignore it. Having rescued her, the husband turned on Matthew as he was calling 911 and left him unconscious on the street. The beating he received was so severe, he had emergency surgery to remove a third of his skull to relieve swelling on his brain and repair numerous facial fractures. Matthew is currently awaiting further surgeries. He is slowly recovering, but unfortunately does not have insurance to cover the substantial medical bills.

Sweet Relief Musicians Fund have partnered up with Through The Pain and Roadrunner Records to help raise funds for his yet untold medical, legal and rehabilitation costs. Sweet Relief, Through The Pain, and Roadrunner have been accepting generous donations from both inside and outside the music industry in aid of Matthew. 100% of proceeds raised will go towards Matthew’s medical costs.

Sharon den Adel, frontwoman of Within Temptation, opened the show musically with the song: See Who I Am, obviously dressed in a Ronald Kolk creation: a black strapless dress with a long skirt made out of tule, and shorter in the front. this performance is also the start of a collaboration, because Kolk will create the new clothing for the band, for both photoshoots of the new album as well as the new tour in 2011

Again we have some updates for the fanclubday!

First, we can announce that you Ivar will host the fanclubday again, as he has done in previous editions.
We are happy that he is present again and have every confidence that he will make the fanclubday a big success!

Meanwhile we are also busy at the new part of the program, which was invented by you in the last contest.
We have called it 'Femke's Flashback', after the winner, and now we are looking at all the materials from the past years to make something beautiful out of it.
During this part of the program there is also a nice surprise! What it is you will see for yourselves at the fanclubday.
We also have a question for you guys: Do you have nice photo’s or movies of good quality from the past fanclubdays, especially of waiting until the doors open, what's happening in the audience or maybe even backstage?

2 weeks ago we asked you to make up a new part for the fanclubday to fill in an empty spot in the program.
We have got lots of emails with some great ideas, and it was hard to find a winner!
We checked out all the ideas, to see if we we’re able to make it happen, if it was fun for everyone to see, and if it was possible to do it in English to, because there will be lots of foreign fans too.
We had lots of ideas that we could use for this year, but also for next year. But we choose something that has to do with our fifth year anniversary.
The idea is from Femke Feijt, and her idea was to look back at the past 5 years with movies and photo’s, that we’re never published before.
Together with the winner, we will fill in this part of the fanclubday to make it to what she had in mind.
But we have more winners! We will not tell you what they had send in, because we are using some of the ideas for this and the next fanclubday! So here they are:

Like we promised you, we have exciting news!
On the fanclubday we will have a very special event at the end of the day: the band will be performing as well, only for the members of TSF!
It's been a long time since they were on stage, this will be one of their first performances since their theatertour earlier this year.
The concert will be included with the fanclubday, so there will be no other ticketsale or evening concert.
In other words: it's exclusively for for TSF members and their guests!

Today is our official anniversary!
5 years ago, during the concert on the Java Island, the fans were first acquainted with the new official fan club of Within Temptation: The Silent Force.
Meanwhile we had three amazing fanclubdays, and we look forward to the fourth on October 10th!
There are still tickets for sale, so who wants to come can still buy them!
Unfortunately, the 1+2 tickets, which allowed you to bring two guests, are sold out.
You can now only buy Member + Guest tickets if you want to bring someone with you.
Furthermore, we have great news about the fanclubday later in the day, , where we are now completing the last things, so keep an eye on the newsletter!
We also published 14 fanzines in the last 5 years.
Fanzine 15 is almost finished and on his way! We hope to bring this anniversary issue as quickly as possible.

What do you have to do?
